Among the beaches of the city center of Ancona
In the Riviera between Ancona, Sirolo and Numana, there are some beautiful beaches often hidden
but not less fascinating.
From the city center of Ancona, we discover the Passetto which includes the Seggiola del Papa the Square to the Blue Grotto placed just behind the port of Ancona.
The gold peculiarity is given by a rocky coast, very fascinating in the summer season, between the white of the rock and their seasonal mutation, due to the erosion of the wind and the water of the sea.
But above all from the “Caves” of the Passetto excavated in the early ‘900 by natural caves, to accommodate small boats used by fishermen.
In the present day they are used as second summer residence by the Anconetani called “Grottaroli”.
They are small but fully equipped, very charming to visit during the summer meals, for the particular family tables full of local typicalities such as the famous Moscioli (wild molluscs) and good wine, which are able to transmit all the Italian vitality.
Very easy to get to, both from the grand staircase (Monument to the Fallen Passetto)
that from a modern and great aime elevator open only in the summer season.
The Passetto beach, like that of the Blue Grotto, has recently been renovated in the access roads and made safe and are rediscovering a second life.
They are very fascinating even for underwater fishing (always paying attention to the guidelines of the harbor master’s office), rocky seabeds and very populated by sea bream, bass, glances and sea bream.
